Activating/deactivating call
screening
While a message is recording, you can screen
calls via the base loudspeaker and registered
handsets.

vated on the base and handset.

parameters
The answer machine has already been pre-
set at the factory. Individual settings can be
adjusted using the handset.
Setting the recording time
You can set the maximum recording time of
a message: 1 Minute, 2 Minutes, 3 Minutes
oder Unlimited.

You can set when you want the answering
machine to accept a call: Immediately,
10 sec, 18 sec, 30 sec oder Auto.

Information about ring delay
In Auto mode, the following applies for ring
delay:
u If there are no new messages, the answer
machine answers a call after 18 seconds.
u If there are new messages, the answer
machine answers a call after 10 seconds.
When operating remotely (¢ page 44), you
can tell after approx. 15 seconds that there
are no new messages (otherwise the answer
machine would have already accepted your
call). There are no call charges if you hang up
now.

Resetting fast access for the

By default, key has been assigned for
fast access to the integrated answer
machine. However, if you have set the net-
work mailbox for fast access (¢ page 45),
you can reset this setting.

connected directly.
The setting for fast access applies to all regis-
