First steps
Display in idle status
Once the phone is registered and the time is set, the idle display is shown as in this
example. If the answer machine is activated, the answer machine icon
played in the header.
Displays
u Reception between the base and the handset:
– Poor to good: Ð i Ñ Ò
– No reception: |
Green: Eco Mode activated (¢ page 46)
u Battery charge status:
– { white: charged over 66%
– { white: charged between 34% and 66%
– y white: charged between 11% and 33%
– y red: charged below 11%
– y flashes red: battery almost empty
– xy xy x{ x{ white: battery charging
If you have chosen a colour scheme with a white background, the white sym-
bols are displayed in black.

Internal name of the handset (¢ page 51)
Your answer machine is set with a pre-recorded announcement.
Your phone is now ready for use!

Connecting the headset

Please note
After removing the plastic cover, you can connect a head-
set to the left-hand side of your telephone with the 2.5 mm
jack connector.
See the relevant product page at www.gigaset.com for
information on recommended headsets.
The headset volume corresponds to the settings for the
handset volume (¢ page 58).
After using the headset, replace the plastic cover to enable
optimum sound in handsfree mode.
