8. Operation
First, check that the record player is installed, set up, and connected correctly. Are the coun-
terweight and the anti-skating control adjusted and set correctly? Is the protection mat put on
the turntable? Is the height of the pick-up arm set correctly?
• Put a record on the turntable. If you want to play a single, put the adaptor for singles on the axle of the
turntable first.
• Set the „PITCH ADJ." slide control to its centre position.
• Switch on the record player with the power switch (position „ON").
• Select the desired speed (33
/
, 45, or 78rpm). In general, the required speed is given on the record.

Simultaneously press both keys („33" and „45") to select the speed „78rpm". The set speed is indicated
by the indicator LEDs (if the speed is 78rpm, both LEDs are on).
• Switch on the mixer console or the amplifier, if they are not on yet. Select the input to which the record
player is connected on the mixer console/amplifier. Select the desired volume on the mixer
console/amplifier.
• Press the „Start/Pause" key on the record player. Alternatively, the record player may be remote-con-
trolled, if the „REMOTE START/STOP" input of the record player is used. The turntable starts to rotate.
• Unlock the locking lever of the pick-up holder.
• Lift up the pick-up arm with the lift and use the small bracket at the front of the pick-up to swivel the pick-
up arm carefully to the beginning of the record.
• Align the diamond tip of the pick-up to the first groove on the record.
• Lower the pick-up arm using the pick-up arm lift. The pick-up arm lowers slowly until the diamond tip runs
in the record groove and playback starts.
• Set the desired volume on the amplifier.
Please note:
An excessive volume may cause hearing impairment!
• To stop playing at any time or when the end of the record is reached, lift up the pick-up arm with the lift
and swivel it back to the pick-up arm holder. Lower the pick-up until the pick-up arm rests on the holder.
Lock the pick-up arm in the holder, if desired.
• Switch off the drive by pressing the „ II" (Start/Pause) key (alternatively, you may use the „REMOTE
START/STOP" connection).
• Finally, switch of the mixer console/amplifier and the record player.
When it is not used the pick-up arm should be locked on the holder to avoid damage to the
pick-up. Please note that the pick-up arm lift has to be lowered before the pick-up arm can be
locked.
