• The device must be operated in dry indoor areas only. The record player must not become
damp or wet.
• Place the record player on a level, firm, and sufficiently large area. Do not place the record
player on the surfaces of valuable furniture; chemical reactions between the rubber feet of
the device and the surface of the furniture could lead to discolouration of the furniture surfa-
ce. Apart from this, the feet may cause indentures. Use a suitable pad to protect the furnitu-
re.
• When setting up the record player, make sure that none of the connection cables are folded
or squeezed. Install all cables in such a way that nobody may trip over them.
• Avoid the following unfavourable ambient conditions at the installation location or during
transportation:
- strong or direct sunlight
- damp or excessive humidity
- extreme cold or heat
- dust or combustible gases, vapours or solvents
- strong vibrations
- strong magnetic fields such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or loudspeakers.
• Do not connect the record player to the mains voltage immediately after it has been taken
from a cold room to a warm one. The condensation produced may destroy the record play-
er. In addition, there is risk of a fatal electric shock!
Allow the device to reach room temperature before switching it on. This may take sev-
eral hours.
• Ensure that the insulation of the entire product is neither damaged nor destroyed. Never
open or disassemble the product.
• Always check the product for damage before it is used!
In case you notice any damage, do not put the record player into operation and have it
checked in a specialist workshop.
• If the record player is not used for a longer period of time, disconnect it from the mains volt-
age. Lock the pick-up arm in the pick-up arm holder. You may use a suitable cover (e.g. a
protective foil) to protect the record player from dust.
• Never insert pointed objects (e.g. ballpoint pens, pins, needles, paper clips, etc.) into
the venting slots or other openings of the device. There is risk of a fatal electric shock
or destruction of the device!
• Do not place objects or containers with liquid (e.g. vases) on or near the record player.
Liquid that seeps into the record player will destroys it; furthermore, there is risk of a
fatal electric shock.
• Music or noise that is too loud may impair hearing!
