3. Explanation of symbols

A triangle containing a lightning symbol indicates a health hazard, e.g. electric shock.
A triangle containing an exclamation mark indicates particular risks in handling, operating, and
controlling of the device.
The „hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.

4. Safety instructions

The warranty will lapse for damage due to non-compliance with these operating instruc-
tions. We shall not be held liable for any consequential damage or loss!
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by incor-
rect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such cases the guaran-
tee will lapse.
Dear Customer, The following safety instructions are intended not only for the protection of your
health but also for the protection of the device. Please read through the following points attentively:
• For safety and licensing reasons (CE), unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the
device is not permitted.
• Consult suitably qualified staff, if you have doubts about how the equipment operates or
about how to connect it safely.
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children. Pay particular attention if children
are present. Children could attempt to poke objects into the device. This may damage the
device! Children are not able to assess the risks that may arise when handling electrical appli-
ances.
• For voltage/power supply the record player has to be connected to a standard mains sock-
et (230V~/50Hz) using the mains cable.
• The product is approved for operation in dry, closed rooms only.
The product must not become damp or wet. Do not place containers, vases, or plants on or
near the record player. Liquids could get into the interior of the device and thus impair its
electrical safety. Furthermore, there would be great risk of fire or a fatal electric shock!
Should such a case occur, immediately disconnect the product from the mains voltage (first,
disconnect the mains socket from the power supply, then pull the mains plug out of the
mains socket). Do not operate the device anymore, but take it to a specialist workshop.
• Only use the device in a moderate climate, do not use it in a tropical climate.

12. Disposal
Once the product becomes unusable, dispose of it in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.

13. Troubleshooting

In purchasing the record player you have acquired a product which has been designed to the state of the art
and is operationally reliable. However, problems and faults can occur. Therefore, we would like to give you
some troubleshooting advice.
Observe all safety instructions in these operating instructions!
Problem
Possible solutions
Device does not work
• Check the voltage supply
• Switch on the device
Audio playback too high or too low
• Adjust the speed
Distorted playback
• Check needle pressure and anti-skating
• Check setting of „PHONO/LINE" switch
• Select correct input/level on amplifier
• Pick-up damaged or worn
• If a pick-up of another manufacturer is used, check the
Pick-up arm cannot be lowered
• Wrong needle pressure
• Wrong operating range of the pick-up arm lift
Disturbing noise
• Record or pick-up needle is dirty
• Wrong needle pressure
Music cannot be heard
• Check the volume on the mixer console/amplifier
• Select correct input on the mixer console/amplifier
Wrong direction of rotation of turntable
• Check switching of direction of rotation
(always connect LINE output to LINE input and
PHONO output to PHONO input)
