Installing the Expansion Card

The SC811 chassis includes a slot for one full-length/full-height expansion card slot.

Installing the Expansion Card
1. Power down the system as described in Section 4-2, lay the chassis on a flat
surface, and open the chassis cover.
2. In the rear of the chassis, pull open the expansion card clip and remove the
PCI slot shield.
3. Confirm that the expansion card has an L-bracket and connect the expansion
card to the riser card which is embedded in the riser card bracket.
4. When the expansion card is installed in the riser card, the L-bracket slides
into the PCI slot. Note that most expansion cards face downward once
installed.
5. Close the expansion card clip to secure the L-bracket and expansion card.
