USE THE RIGHT OIL FilTER
Proper
oil
filtration
is
just
as
essential
as use
of good
motor
oil.
The
two-stage
filtering
action
of
the
Autolite oil
filter
has
been shown
by
tests
to
be
more
effec-
tive
than
ordinary
filters.
Use only
an
Autolite
6000
mile oil filter or one of equal
quality which
mee
ts
the
Ford
Motor
Com-
pany
specification,
(page
47).
USE THE RIGHT AUTOMATIC
TRANSMISSION LUBE
For
satisfactory
operation of your auto-
matic
transmission, proper lubrication,
and correct
viscosity
under
a
ll
weather
conditions, it
is important
to
use
only
automatic
transmission fluids meeting
Ford Specification
M2C33
(type
F
).
Ford Automatic
Transmission
Fluid
meets all
these
requirements.
AVOID MIXING LUBRICANTS
• In
some
cases,
different
brands of lubri-
cants are not compatible
'
with each
other and deteriorate
when
mixed.
It
is
best
to
stick with
one brand
at succes-
sive
maintenance
intervals.
You can
be
sure
that
Ford
lubricants
are
com-
patible with those
used
at
the
factory.
ENGINE
COOLANT
Check the
coolant level
ahout once
a
month, preferably
when
the engine
is
cool.

To avoid
injury
when checking
a hot
engine,
do
not
immediately remove
the
radiator
cap.
Muffle
the
cap
in
a thick cloth and
turn
it
counterclockwise
only until the
pres-
sure stads to
escape.
After
the pressure
has
completely
dissi-
pated,
finish
removing
the
cap.
• If
it
becomes necessary
to add
coolant,
we
recommend
adding Rotunda Perma-
nent
Anti-Freeze
undiluted,
or
mixed
with water
as indicated
on
the
con
-
tainer.
CAUTION: Avoid
use of high
alkaline
or
hard
water.

Permanent Anti-Freeze may
be
added undiluted if
anti-freeze

• Be
sure
