DAY-TO-DAY
CARE
YOU
SHOULD
GIVE
YOUR
CAR
(ConL)
Make
sure
your
car
is ready to go when-
ever you need
it.
There are
some
things
that
you can
do, or have done for
you,
to
realize
extended
driving
enjoyment
with
confid
ence
that
your
car
is
well cared for.
Keep
the
gas tank
well
filled. A full tank
reduces
the possibility
of condensation
forming in
the
tank and
moisture enter-
ing
the
fuel lines.
Under the hood,
make
frequent checks
of
the motor oil
and coolant
levels.
The
name "Ford"
on
the
label
of
the
motor
oil and
"
Rotunda" on
the
anti-freeze
means
you
are getting the highest qual-
ity
for
long-lasting,
performance-keep-
ing
ope
ration.
A
new Autolite oil filter
at every oil change is
one
of
the
best
investments
you can make. Check the
battery
fluid
level often,
especially
if
your
car is
being
driven in a
wann,
dry
climate. Check
the
windshield washer
reservoir fluid level.
If
the
fluid
level
is
JiJ\v~
add
water
wit
h
the
recommended
p roportion
of Rotunda All-Weather
Windshield
Washer Solution.
• Inspect
the
tires visually
and
have
the air
pressure checked
regularly.
Tire pres-
sure
lower than
recommended
will
re-
duce
tire
life.
a
nd
pressure
higher than
r
econunended
will
tend
to
magnify,
rather than
absorb, road
shocks.
Re-
membe
r that tire
pressure
will usually
increase
after long driving periods at
high
speeds of
operation with
heavy
loads. Do not bleed
air
out
of an
ex-
tremely
warm tire to
adjust
the
pres-
sure.
Maintaining
the correct
tire
pres-
sures for the
load
and speed
at
which
you drive is one of
the
most effective
steps you
can take
for safety
of
yourself
and your passengers.
