Faults and malfunctions
Possible solution
Replace expansion tank.
On the controller (rotary switch setting "Info"
check whether there is adequate water pressure
(> 0.3 bar) (must be below the stated maximum
pressure) and drain water off until it lies mid-range.
Check safety pressure relief valve and if necessary,
replace it.
– Turn the red knob on the safety pressure relief
valve counterclockwise. If you can hear a rattling
noise, the safety pressure relief valve needs
replacing.
– Close the inlet and discharge stop valve if water is
continuously escaping.

Failure of the frost protection function of the water heat exchanger
because the water flow is too low. See fault code "7H".
Failure of the frost protection function of the water heat exchanger
because there is a lack of refrigerant in the system.
Water flow is too low or there is none at all, minimum water flow
required ( 12 l/min). Check the following items:
All stop valves of the water circuit must be completely open.
Optional water filters must not be contaminated.
System must run within its operating parameters.
System must be completely evacuated.
On the controller (rotary switch setting "Info"
whether there is adequate water pressure (> 0.3 bar).
The external static pressure must correspond to the character-
istic curve in the technical data for the heat generator.
A higher pressure indicates internal resistance in the water
circuit.
Expansion tank is defective.
If this fault occurs during defrost operation in the operating
mode room heating or hot water supply: With optional backup
heater: check its power supply and fuses.
In the switch cabinets of HPSU compact, check the pump
fuse (FU1) and circuit board fuse (F1).
Discharge water temperature in HPSU compact is too high
(> 65 °C).
– Temperature sensor discharge water temperature pro-
vides incorrect values.
– With installed backup heater: STB in backup heater (BUH)
has triggered.
STB in backup heater (BUH) has triggered.
Check and unlock position of STL.
