Faults and malfunctions

4.1 Troubleshooting

The electronic control detects, saves and displays faults:
– a current fault generated by the heat pump system in the con-
troller display (see tab. 4-2).
– in cascade mode: the current fault message of a connected
heat generator (see installation instructions for the heat gen-
erator).
Depending on the operating mode, the fault messages are also
forwarded to connected room stations or room thermostats.

Read-out of fault memory
The last received (latest) fault message is in the first position
(No. 01). All the other previous fault messages are then pushed
backwards by one place when a new entry is made. The 8th. fault
message will be deleted every time a new fault message is
received.
The fault call-up is described in section 4.1.1.

4.1.3 Rectifying the faults
Detect and remedy the cause of the fault.
– Contactor triggered:
Nothing shown on the display in the controller. Ascertain
cause of triggering the contactor and remedy fault. Start up
system again.
Once the cause has been removed, a test run of the sys-
tem is carried out. After that, the system continues to run
as normal.
– Contactor not triggered:
a) No fault codes are shown but the system is not working
properly. Troubleshooting and eliminating faults (see
section 4.2).
Once the cause has been eliminated, the system contin-
ues to work normally.
b) Fault codes are displayed as long as the fault conditions
are present. Troubleshooting and eliminating faults (see
section 4.3). The system must be isolated from the power
supply for at least 10 secs. to unlock it.
Once the cause has been eliminated, the system contin-
ues to work normally.
