2.4.2 Heat curve
CAUTION WITH UNDERFLOOR HEATING!
In the event of a fault, or in hand mode, damage may
be caused to the screed, the structure of the floor and
the underfloor heating system by overheating.
Before starting for the first time you must always
install a controller-independent maximum temper-
ature limiter (e.g. a system thermostat where the
control phase of the heating circuit pump is looped
via the switching contacts).
Set the controller-independent maximum temper-
ature limitation (parameter [T vbh1 max]) to the
maximum permissible system temperature.
With the heating characteristic curve, the heating output is
adjusted to the building conditions in accordance with the
relevant external temperature. Generally speaking, the
steepness of the heating characteristics describes the ratio of the
flow temperature change to the external temperature change.
The heating characteristic curve applies within the minimum and
maximum temperature limits that have been set for the corre-
sponding heating circuit. The room temperature measured in the
living area may differ from the desired room temperature; these
deviations can be kept to a minimum by installing a room
thermostat or a room station.
The controller is set in the factory so that the heat curve does
not adjust itself during operation.
The automatic heat curve adaption can be activated
(parameter [HC Adaption]), if the outdoor temperature sensor
(RoCon OT1,
15 60 70) or the room station (RoCon U1,
15 70 34) are connected (see section 2.4.3).
If an automatic heat curve adaption is not activated, the heat
curve can be set manually by adjusting the parameter [Heat-
Slope]).
Setting to suit:
Do not make any corrections to the set values for 1 - 2
days, and then only make them in small increments.
Deactivate additional heat sources (e.g. fireplaces,
direct solar radiation, open windows).
Fully open any radiator thermostats.
Activate the "HEATING" mode.
Approximate setting values:
– Radiator and system 70: 1.4 to 1.6 (factory setting
1.5)
– Underfloor heating system: 0.5 to 0.9 (factory set-
ting 1.0)
