Plug Replacement Guide
NOTICE
An improper spark plug may have
an incorrect fit or inappropriate
heat range for your engine. This
may cause severe engine damage
which may not be covered under
warranty.
Use one of the spark plugs listed
or their equivalent. Consult your
Suzuki dealer if you are not sure
which spark plug is correct for
your type of usage.

NOTE: This motorcycle uses resistor-
type spark plug to avoid jamming
electronic parts. Improper spark plug
selection may cause electronic inter-
ference with your motorcycle's ignition
system, resulting in motorcycle per-
formance problems. Use only the rec-
ommended spark plugs.
NOTE: If the above-named plugs are
not available, consult your Suzuki
dealer.

Standard
INSTALLATION
To install the spark plug:
1. Install a spark plug, turn it in as far
as possible with your fingers, then
tighten it with a wrench.
NOTICE
Improper installation of the spark
plug can damage your motorcycle.
An overly-tight or cross-threaded
spark plug will damage the alumi-
num threads of the cylinder head.
Carefully turn the spark plug by
hand into the threads. If the spark
plug is new, tighten it with a
wrench about 1/2 turn past finger
tight. If you are reusing the old
spark plug, tighten it with a
wrench about 1/8 turn past finger
tight.
NOTICE
Dirt can damage the moving
engine parts your motorcycle if it
enters an open spark plug hole.
Cover the spark plug hole while
the spark plug is out of the hole.
2. Connect the spark plug caps
securely.
3. Reinstall the under cowling.
