When the display
"CHEC" in the odometer display area,
check following items;
• Make sure that the engine stop
switch is in the "$" position.
• Make sure that the transmission is
in neutral or the side stand is fully
up.
If the display still indicates "CHEC"
after checking the above item, inspect
the ignition fuse and the connection of
the lead wire couplers.
TURN SIGNAL INDICATOR LIGHT
"%&" 4
When the turn signals are being oper-
ated either to the right or to the left,
the indicator will blink intermittently.
NOTE: If a turn signal light is not
operating properly due to bulb fila-
ment or circuit failure, the indicator
light blinks more quickly to notify the
rider of the existence of a problem.
TACHOMETER 5
The tachometer indicates the engine
speed in revolutions per minute (r/min).
GEAR POSITION INDICATOR 6
The gear position indicator indicates
gear position. This indicator displays
"0" when the transmission is in neu-
tral.

ENGINE RPM INDICATOR LIGHT 7
The engine rpm indicator light 7 will
light or blink when the engine speed
reaches a preset engine rpm.
LIGHT/BLINK/NO LIGHT Mode
Selection
1. To enter the selection mode, turn
on the ignition switch and press
and hold the SEL button D for
more than 2 seconds to change
the mode.
2. Push the ADJ button B to change
the lighting mode. The mode
changes as follows: LIGHT

BLINK NO LIGHT
The engine rpm indicator light 7
comes on steady in the LIGHT
mode and blinks in the BLINK
mode. The engine rpm indicator
mark "'" C comes on when the
LIGHT or
selected.
3. Push the SEL button D to fix the
selected mode.
While in the mode selection, if the
motorcycle
more than 10 km/h or the ignition
switch is turned to "OFF" position,
the mode selection is cancelled.
Preset rpm selection
1. Select the LIGHT mode or BLINK
mode.
2. Push the ADJ button B to select a
preset rpm. Push the ADJ button
B to change the preset rpm from
4000 r/min to 11000 r/min in steps
of 1000 r/min.
3. Push the SEL button D to fix the
selected setting. The engine rpm
indicator system
selected settings when the ignition
switch is turned off. The system
settings will remain when the igni-
tion switch is turned on again.
