Expandability
Allows four Wave Expansion Boards to be installed at
the same time.
The XP-60/XP-80 can take up to four Wave Expansion
Boards at one time for complex sounds that use prodigious

GM System compatibility
The XP-60/XP-80 provides a mode compatible with the GM
System, the standard format for desktop music (DTM) sys-
tems, and can play back commercially available GM compat-

GM System
GM (General MIDI) is an industry-wide set of specifications
for sound sources, which allows music data to be created
and played back regardless of manufacturer or specific mod-
els. GM compatible song data carries the GM logo (
indicating that it will correctly play back on any GM com-
patible sound source.

Quick Play for immediate song playback
A song from floppy disk can be played back directly without
