Station Handling

Active Station

Shifting, adjusting speed, trimming, and performing
EVC settings and calibrations is only possible on an
active station.
On a boat with one station, the station is always active.
On a boat with two or more stations, the main station
automatically becomes active when the EVC system
is started up with the ignition key(s). If the engine is
started from a secondary station that station automat-
ically becomes active instead.
During engine start the EVC system sometimes
restarts automatically. If this happens, the main
station becomes active even though the start was
performed from a secondary station.
The following instructions apply to both single en-
gine and twin engine installations. On a single en-
gine installation, only one LED will light up. On
twin engine installations, both LEDs will light up.

Changing and Activating Station

The gear must be in neutral when changing stations.
The LED above the NEUTRAL BUTTON 3 is lit when
the gear is in neutral (both are lit for twin engines). If
the station that you want to leave is locked, unlock it
(please see next page). Activate the station you want
to change to by pushing the ACTIVATION BUTTON 1
at that station.
The LED above the ACTIVATION BUTTON indicates
whether the station is active (lit) or inactive (off).
If the PADLOCK SIGN 2 flashes, the station can not
be activated. Another station is either active and
locked or active with the gear engaged.
If the LED above the NEUTRAL BUTTON flashes it in-
dicates that the gear is in neutral but the control lever
(on the station that is activated) is not in the neutral
position. Move the control lever into the neutral posi-
tion and it will start to function normally. On twin en-
gine installations, move both control levers.
If either of the LEDs above the ACTIVATION BUTTON
flashes, the station has a fault. A fault pop-up will also
appear in the display(s) to indicate this. For additional
information, please see Troubleshooting on page 147.
