I have D9 575 In my boat and have a problem with the injectors after been maintaining it and measured the fuel pressure of each injector on the measurement device separately. Still the engine sound is not right as some injectors not working probably.

Common injector issues for a Volvo D9 575 engine include low fuel delivery from an injector. This leads to a leaner air-fuel mixture, which increases combustion temperature but reduces the total heat energy per cycle, potentially causing the affected cylinder to run cooler overall. These issues can be diagnosed by:

1. Checking for uneven cylinder temperatures.
2. Inspecting injectors for proper fuel delivery.
3. Ensuring injectors are installed cleanly and in the correct cylinder order.
4. Using a special tool for proper removal and reinstallation of injectors.
5. Verifying the injector o-ring is airtight to prevent air leaks.

A faulty injector usually affects only one cylinder and is not caused by poor fuel quality if other engines using the same fuel are unaffected.

The correct timing for the Volvo Penta D9 engine involves aligning the crankshaft and camshaft using timing marks. You must locate the Top Dead Centre (TDC) marks on the crankshaft pulley and other components. Accurate TDC positioning is critical. Then follow the step-by-step procedures to verify crankshaft and camshaft timing, comparing all marks and measurements against the service manual specifications to ensure correct alignment.
