Faults
Possible causes
The operating mechanism is locked

The connections of the power supply
circuit are wrong
The opening coil is damaged
The operating mechanism is locked

The gearmotor protection internal
fuse has tripped

Suggestions
Contact ABB
Measure the voltage: it should not be
lower than 85 % of the rated voltage
of the coil
Use the correct voltage
Make sure there is continuity between
cable and terminal and if necessary
reconnect the cables of the coil to the
terminals
Check the connections using the
relevant wiring diagram
Replace the coil
Perform the opening operation manu-
ally; if the fault persists contact ABB

Make sure there is continuity between
cable and terminal and if necessary
reconnect the cables of the gearmotor
to the terminals
Check the connections using the
relevant wiring diagram
Switch the circuit-breaker to the test
or connected position
Replace the fuse
Replace the gearmotor

with the circuit-breaker open
