Switching off the appliance

If the appliance is to be switched off for a
long time, follow the bellow steps in order to
prevent the mould growth in the appliance.
• Take out all food.
• Remove the power plug from the power
outlet.
• After thawing, following the instructions
given in the Cleaning and Maintenance
section, leave all the doors open in order
to prevent development of humidity
and odour.

• Clean the appliance regularly at least
once in two months as instructed in the
"Cleaning and Maintenance" section.
• Before starting the cleaning and main-
tenance procedure, always unplug the
appliance from the outlet.
• Do not clean the refrigerator by pouring
water on it.
• Wipe the inner and outer parts of your
appliance by using warm and soapy
water with a soft cloth or sponge. Do not
use sharp objects when cleaning since
they may scratch the surface.
• Please remove the parts one by one
and clean them with soapy water and
dry them completely by robbing before
placing back. Do not wash them in a
dishwasher.
• Never ever use flammable, combustible
or melting materials such as thinner,
gasoline or acid for cleaning purposes.
These may cause damage the surface of
the appliance and may cause fire.
• Place the interior parts, other parts
and accessories on the appliance after
cleaning and rinsing them well. Make
sure that your appliance or its parts and
accessories are dry before operating it.
• The condenser (the black finned part
at the back side) must be cleaned with
dry and soft brush at least once in every
year. This will allow your refrigerator to
operate more efficiently and help you
save energy.
• Although this appliance has automatic
defrost function, if the freezer compart-
ment door is frequently opened or left
open, there may be a layer of frost on the
interior walls of the freezer. If this layer of
frost is very thick, chose a time when the
food stock is low and follow these steps:
• Remove all existing food and accessory
baskets; plug out the appliance from the
power outlet and leave the door open.
To accelerate defrosting, ventilate the
room well.
• When the defrosting is over, clean your
freezer as described above.
• Attention: Do not use sharp objects
to clean ice from the appliance. The
appliance may only be re-operated
and connected to power outlet after its
interior is completely dry.

Cleaning the door seals

• Keep your door seals clean. Sticky food
and drinks may cause the seals to stick
to the refrigerator and to tear when the
door is opened. Wash the seal with a
mild detergent and warm water. Rinse
after washing and dry completely.
• CAUTION: The appliance should be
re-powered only after the door seals are
completely dry.
