Now continue from step 4 of the transmis-
sion procedure.
NOTE
After each document sent at half speed, I
always restore my speed to 9600 bps.
2 If the document is not sent due to line er-
rors or other problems, I switch on the ER-
ROR LED and automatically print the trans-
mission report , which contains an error
code indicating the cause of the error (you
will find a list of all error codes in the chapter
entitled "To keep me in good working or-
der ...). Having printed the report, I automati-
cally switch off the ERROR indicator and
unload any unsent document.
If you send an excessively long document

(longer than 600 mm), I automatically stop
sending the document when this length is
reached and I emit 3 to 5 short audible sig-
nals to inform you of the error.

The transmission report

As mentioned previously, I automatically print
the transmission report in the following cases:
