S80
No Data Disconnect Trigger Signal
Register determines whether Pin 2 (transmit data) or Pin 3 (receive data)
of the modem's EIA-232 serial interface is monitored so that the modem
can disconnect the call if there is no activity for a certain period. (See the
\T command.)
Register has the following values:
0 = Transmit or Receive
1 = Transmit only
2 = Receive only
3 = Transmit and Receive
Factory setting is 3.
S81
Leased Line Signal Quality Retrain
Forces the modem to retrain if the SQ (Signal Quality) LED is on for more
than the specified number of seconds (1–5). SQ Retrain reduces the
amount of bad data sent to the DTE when no error control is used, but
greatly increases the likelihood of retrains on impaired lines. SQ Retrain
affects only V.32 and V.3 2bis modulations.
Register has the following values:
0
= Disable
1–5 = Number of seconds of poor signal quality before retrain
Factory setting is Disable.
S82
V.32bis Autorate (Leased Line)
Determines if the Autorate function is used on leased lines when
connected in V.32bis mode. Autorate allows the modem to adjust line
speed due to noise.
Register has the following values:
0 = Enable
1 = Disable
Factory setting is Enable.
