Sound Mute (MUTE)

Pressing this button mutes the volume.
When this button is pressed the "MUTE"
signal will appear on the VFD. To hear the
sound again, rotate the volume button or
press the MUTE button again or press the
sound buttons.
Equalizer Mode Selector (EQ)
This unit is designed with 7 band and 5
equalizer modes.

How to Use the Equalizer

Each time the EQ button is pressed, the
mode is changed as follows.
EQ OFF
CLASSIC
VOICE
JAZZ
• To hear the best sound, press this but-
ton and select the proper mode during
broadcast reception, or TAPE or CD
playback.
• If you try to adjust TREBLE/BASS with
the EQ button, the status will be
changed to the status of "EQ OFF",
because the functions of EQUALIZER
and TREBLE/BASS are not compatible
with each other.

Each time this button is pressed, the mode
is changed as follows:
FM1
CD
The above flow chart shows the operation
order when a tape or CD has been
inserted.

SEEK Button

Manual Radio Tuning
(less than 0.5 seconds)
When you press this button once for less
than 0.5 seconds, the radio frequency will
be moved up/down one step.
(AM: 9 KHz, FM: 100 KHz) (Moving up/
down frequency appears on the VFD.)
Radio Seek Tuning
(more than 0.5 seconds)
When you press this button for more than
0.5 seconds, the tuner will automatically
scan for a higher/lower frequency than the
currently selected frequency. (The fre-
quency is changed rapidly until a station is
turned in and the frequency is displayed on
the VFD.)
