Comparing Control Solution Results
If test results fall outside the range, repeat the test. Out-of-
range results may be caused by one or more of the following
causes:
Error in performing the test.
Failure to shake the control solution vial gently.
Expired or contaminated control solution.
Control solution that is too warm or too cold.
Failure to discard the first drop of control solution and wipe
the dispenser tip clean.
Contamination of the control solution e.g. if the drop of the
control solution is taken back into the control vial.
Meter malfunction.
Test strip deterioration.
Do not use the Omnitest® 3 system to test your blood glucose
until you get a control solution test result that falls within the
range.
