Interfaces not present

Symptom

A subcard is present but the interfaces on the subcard are not present.

Solution

To resolve the problem:
1.
Execute the display device verbose command to identify the subcard type and state.
Verify that the interfaces are compatible with the subcard type.
See the installation guide or interface module manual to determine whether the LPU supports
the subcard.
2.
If the problem persists, collect the following information and contact HP Support.
Execute the display hardware internal util slot 3 nvlog 0 100 command in probe view to collect
log messages.
Execute the bash command in user view and execute the more /var/log/trace.log command to
collect log messages.

Subcard not present

Symptom
A subcard is installed on the device, but no information about the subcard is displayed in the display
device verbose command output.
Solution
To resolve the problem:
1.
See the device installation guide or interface module manual to determine whether the LPU
supports the subcard.
2.
Execute the display hardware internal pci device slot slot-num command in probe view.
For example, if the subcard is installed in slot 5, execute the command as follows:
[HP-probe]display hardware internal pci device slot 5
... ... ... ...
<02:05.00> pex8624 unit 1 port 5
<09:00.00> tsi384 linking subslot 2
<10:00.00> pci device in subslot 2
<02:06.00> pex8624 unit 1 port 6
<14:00.00> fpga for subslot 2
... ... ... ...
If the command output does not contain the pci device in subslot x message, contact HP
Support.
