Conf iguring Remote Log Messages
Use the System Log Conf iguration page to send log messages to syslog servers or other management stations. You can also limit
the event messages sent to specified types.

Command Usage

When remote logging is enabled, system log messages are sent to the designated server. The syslog protocol is based on UDP and
received on UDP port 514. UDP is a connection-less protocol and does not provide acknowledgments. The syslog packet will always
be sent out even if the syslog server does not exist.

Click Conf iguration, System, Log.

Enable remote logging, enter the IP address of the remote server, and specify the type of syslog messages to send.

Click Apply.
Conf iguring Power Reduction
The NXA-ENET8-2POE provides power saving methods including controlling the intensity of LEDs, and powering down the circuitry
for port queues when not in use.

Controlling LED Intensity

Use the LED Power Reduction Conf iguration page to reduces LED intensity during specified hours.

Enables/disables the logging of debug or error messages to the remote logging process. (Default: Disabled)
Specifies the IPv4 address or alias of a remote server which will be sent syslog messages.
Limits log messages that are sent to the remote syslog server for the specified types. Messages options include the
following:
Info - Send informations, warnings and errors. (Default setting)
Warning - Send warnings and errors.
Error - Send errors.
Time at which LED intensity is set.
LED intensity (Range: 0-100%, in increments of 10%, where 0% means off and 100% means full power)
LEDs set at full intensity for a specified period when a link change occurs. (Default: 10 seconds)
LEDs set at full intensity when a link error occurs.
