Configuring the HC380 using OneView InstantOn

Guidelines for using OneView InstantOn

OneView InstantOn is the automated deployment tool that guides you through the steps to configure your
HC380 appliance. Following successful completion of this configuration, you then perform the initial
HC380 Management UI configuration before you can begin deploying virtual machines. After you add all
the configuration information in OneView InstantOn, you can deploy the system.
Use the following guidelines for using OneView InstantOn:
Before launching OneView InstantOn, verify that your management VM contains the folder
C:\ProgramData\Hewlett-Packard\StoreVirtual\InstantOn\PostDeployment. Contact Hewlett
Packard Enterprise Support if it does not.
While OneView InstantOn is running, do not run anything else on the system including running
Windows Update and configuring proxies.
Do not run OneView InstantOn while performing an HPE LeftHand OS upgrade.
OneView InstantOn allows you to perform initial deployments and expansions of existing
deployments. Following a successful deployment, you can launch the tool to expand the system or
view the settings, but you are not allowed to change the settings or redeploy the system.
