How to self-install your Tunstall Liberty alarm Before you can start using your Tunstall Liberty alarm, please complete the following instructions. Please note: This alarm has been pre-programmed to automatically connnect to the Tunstall emergency response centre. DO NOT REPROGRAM THIS ALARM. - Page 6 0 to 9. 0-1 = Weak signal 2-5 = Average signal 6-9 = Strong signal Diagram 3 Note: A higher gain antenna is available for purchase for clients in poor GSM coverage areas. Page 7: Step 3 Connect The Mains Power Adaptor
Step 3 Connect the mains power adaptor Plug the black mains adaptor into the base alarm unit socket labelled ‘POWER’ (Diagram 4) and plug into a power point in your home (mains power). Turn on both the mains power and the battery switch on the alarm. Wait one minute for the alarm display to go blank. -

Step 4 Place a test call Press the blue button (Diagram 5) on your Liberty pendant to place a test call to the Tunstall response centre. Advise the response operator that you are installing your new Tunstall Liberty alarm. The response operator will confirm your details and complete the installation process with you. -
Page 9: Landline Connection (Optional)
Step 5 - Landline connection: (mains telephone line required) Complete this step if you are connecting your Liberty via a landline, with GSM as back-up only. Please disconnect the mains power and turn off the battery switch on your alarm before completing this step. Socket type selection Australian homes are fitted with one of two kinds of telephone wall socket connections. - Page 10 Type 1 - Modern RJ12 wall socket Connect the telephone line Unplug your existing telephone lead from your RJ12 wall socket.
