5. Install the fuel tank caps securely. Wipe up any fuel
that may have spilled.
Note: If possible, fill the fuel tanks after each use.
This will minimize possible buildup of condensation
inside the fuel tank.
Checking the Engine Oil Level
Before you start the engine and use the machine, check
the oil level in the engine crankcase; refer to Checking
Oil Level in Engine Maintenance.
Checking the Cooling System
Before you start the engine and use the machine, check
the cooling system; refer to Checking the Cooling
System in Cooling System Maintenance.
Checking the Hydraulic
System
Before you start the engine and use the machine, check
the hydraulic system; refer to Checking the Hydraulic
System in Hydraulic System Maintenance.

safety section. Knowing this information could help
you or bystanders avoid injury.
Operating on icy or steep slopes can cause
sliding and loss of control.
A track dropping over an edge can cause a
rollover, which may result in serious injury,
death, or drowning.
Always use the seat belt.
Read and follow the rollover protection
instructions and warnings.
To avoid loss of control and possibility of
rollover:
• Do not operate near drop-offs or near water.
• Reduce speed and use extreme caution on
slopes.
• Avoid sudden turns or rapid speed changes.

hearing loss through extended periods of
