"Drive Mod"

Motorcycle traction control (MTC)

Possible states
SPORT – Homologated performance with very direct response; the traction control
allows greater slip on the rear wheel
STREET – Homologated performance with balanced response; the traction control
allows normal slip on the rear wheel
RAIN – Reduced homologated performance for better ridability; the traction control
allows normal slip on the rear wheel
OFFROAD (optional) – Reduced homologated performance for better ridability; the
traction control allows high slip on the rear wheel
Various vehicle tunings can be selected in the "Drive Mod" menu. You can choose from
402432-01
"SPORT", "STREET", "RAIN" and "OFFROAD" (optional).
The drive mode selected last is displayed on the right in the segment display.

The drive mode selection has no influence on the ABS.
The motorcycle traction control (MTC) reduces the engine torque in case of loss of traction
in the rear wheel. Depending on the motorcycle traction control setting, a slight slip on the
rear wheel may be desirable. Example: offroad.

When motorcycle traction control is switched off, the rear wheel may spin during
high acceleration and on surfaces with low grip.
After the ignition is switched back on, the motorcycle traction control is reactivated.
The motorcycle traction control is operated through the "Drive Mode" (
M00864-01
on the combination instrument. The motorcycle traction control can be switched off in
the "MTC/ABS" menu.
