The following PIDs are not valid:
PID0x0000 through 0x05dc: overlap with the 802.3 frame length
PIDs of predefined protocols (for example, IP, IPX, AppleTalk)
PID 0x8100: reserved by 802.1Q to identify tagged frames
PID0x9000: used by the diagnostic loopback frames
PID0x8808: used by 802.3x pause frames
PID0x4242: overlaps with the BPDU DSAP/SSAP

To create a source MAC address-based VLAN:

In the navigation pane, select an STG.

Do one of the following:
The New VLAN dialog box opens

On the VLAN Manager toolbar, click Insert.
