Waveform
Items for check
Check the voltages (V+3R3D,
-
V+3R0D, and V+CORE1R5D) of
the video encoder (IC1600).
Check the waveforms of the
following communication signals:
117
• V_RST#
• VIDEO_CS#
Check the waveforms (SCK,
MOSI, and MISO) of the 3-wire
122
serial cable.
If the problem is not resolved
-
even after the above-mentioned
measures are taken.
Check the voltage (V+3R3D) of
102
the CENTER PANEL µ.com
(IC800).
Check that the clock (9 MHz)
signal is input to the CENTER
115
PANEL µ.com (IC800).
Check the waveforms of the
following communication signals:
Waveform of signal output from
the NORTH CPU (IC601)
115,
• Waveforms (SCK, MOSI, and
121
MISO) of the 3-wire serial cable
Waveform of signal output from
the CPLD (IC1700)
• RST_PL#
• PANEL_CS#
If the problem is not resolved
-
even after the above-mentioned
measures are taken.
Check if the FFC cable is
securely connected between the
-
NMAIN ASSY and the DISP
ASSY.
Check the voltage (V+5D) of the
A/B SIDE PANEL µ.com
-
(IC2600).
Check that the clock (10 MHz)
signal is input to the SIDE
116,
PANEL µ.com (IC2600).
135
Check the waveforms of signals
on the communication lines
between the NORTH CPU
(IC601) and the following
120,
devices:
138
• PNL_IN
• PNL_FS
• PNL_CLK
• PNL_OUT
• PNL_RST#
If the problem is not resolved
even after the above-mentioned
-
measures are taken.

Causes and measures
If power is not supplied, check the connection
of the power line.
If waveform is not normal, check the mounting
status of the output signal terminal of the
CPLD (IC1700). If it is properly mounted, it is
defective; replace it.
If waveform is not normal, check the mounting
status of the output signal terminal of the
NORTH CPU (IC601). If it is properly mounted,
the port connector may be defective; replace it.
Replace the NMAIN Assy.
If power is not supplied, check the connection
of the power line.
If the clock signal is not input, the crystal
oscillator (X700) and its peripheral chips may
be defective or improperly mounted. Resolder
them. If the problem is not resolved, replace
them.
If the waveform is abnormal, check the
mounting status of the terminals. If they are
properly mounted, then they are defective;
replace them.
Replace the CENTER PANEL µ.com (IC800).
If a connection is loose, firmly connect the
cables.
If power is not supplied, check the connection
of the power line.
If the clock signal is not input, the crystal
oscillator (X2600) and its peripheral chips may
be defective or improperly mounted. Resolder
them. If the problem is not resolved, replace
them.
Check the waveforms of output signals,
referring to the block diagram of serial commu-
nication. If a communication line is interrupted
at buffer ICs (IC603-IC606), check the
mounting status of the ICs. If they are improp-
erly mounted, resolder them. If the problem is
not resolved, replace the ICs.
Replace the SIDE PANEL µ.com (IC2600).
