Items for check
Check the defective point with
-
auto device diagnosis and the
status LEDs.
The protectors (P103/105) on the
SMAIN Assy may be damaged.
-
Check the voltage at the two
electrodes of the protector.
Open the bottom plate of the
drive unit and check the following
-
voltages: V+8D, 6R5V, V+5SDV,
A5V, OEIC5V, A3R3V, D1R5V,
and VCA.
Check that the cables that
connect the SMLB1/2 and
SRV1/2 Assys and SRV1/2
-
Assys and SMAIN Assy are
securely connected and if there is
breakage in the cables.
Open the bottom plate of the
drive unit and check the signal
-
waveforms at MU1 and MU2
(during loading, MU1 is L and
MU2 is H).
Check the load signal.
49
If the problem is not resolved
-
even after the above-mentioned
measures are taken.
Check if the loading arm rides on
the switch on the SMLB.*5
-
Open the bottom plate of the
drive unit and check the wave-
49
forms of the LPS1 and LPS2
signal lines (H when LPS1 is
ON).
The protectors (P103/105) on the
-
SMAIN Assy may be defective.

See "[8] Auto device diagnosis/Status LEDs" in
this section.
Replace the protector.
If there is a power supply unit that does not
output voltage, check the mounting status of
the regulator IC and its peripheral devices. If
they are properly mounted, they are defective;
replace them.
If a connection is loose, firmly connect the
cables.
If there is breakage, replace the Cables.
If the waveforms are not normal, check the
mounting status of the terminals of the Driver
ICs (IC100/900) and SODC (IC106/906). If
they are properly mounted, the SODC
(IC106/906) are defective; replace them.
If the waveforms are not normal, check the
mounting status of the terminals of the Driver
ICs (IC100/900) and SODC (IC106/906). If
they are properly mounted, the SODC
(IC106/906) are defective; replace them.
Replace the SRV1/2 Assy.
If the loading arm rides on the switch
(S4400/S4500) for loading detection, adjust
the switch position. If the switch is mounted on
the board in a lifted position, resolder the
switch so that it does not interfere with loading
arm movement.
If the waveforms are not normal, the switch
(S4400/S4500) for loading detection may be
improperly soldered, or the switch may be
defective. Resolder the switch. If the problem
is not resolved, replace them.
Replace the protectors.
