RAM Memory Fault Isolation

Image Processor Board RAM memory has failed or is not installed. A minimum of
128 MB of RAM must be installed for proper printer operation. The Phaser 5500
supports PC133 SDRAM in 144-pin SO-DIMM form. The printer accepts modules of
128, or 256 MB in combinations to a total of 512 MB.

Initial Actions:
Check that the RAM devices aremaking positive contact with their connectors.
1.
Power off the printer.
2.
Remove and re-install the RAM memory after verifying it meets the Xerox
specifications. See "Memory Specifications" on page 1-11. If the problem
persists, use the following procedure to correct it.
