    For the communication system (Aastra 400 communication server, OIP, Microsoft Out- look, TwixTel) to identify an external number it is recommended to enter the number in canonical format (+Country Code (Region Code) Phone Number).

Private call with PIN You want to make a private call on your phone or on a third-party phone. With the aid of your PIN you can use any phone to make an external call with your own personal settings, even if that phone is locked for external calls.

  • Page 55 Personalizing your phone Setting the audio properties for headset operation Using your Aastra SIP phone, you can make and answer calls using the handset, head- set or handsfree system. The audio settings allow the use of different combinations of these three operation modes in order to achieve maximum flexibility in phone opera- tion.
