Remove and Replace the Exhaust Fan

The exhaust fan (526-0105-xx) is located at the front of the projector, next to the lamp housing. The
exhaust fan moves warm air out of the projector, keeping internal components cool. You can also order a
complete exhaust fan assembly (526-0104-xx), which includes the fan, the ducting and the thermal
switch.
1 Remove the top case.
2 Unplug the exhaust fan, thermal switch, and lamp fuse cables from their connectors on the
controller ECA. Lift the cable clip adjacent to the controller ECA to release the cables.
3 Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver to remove the two 3x8 self-tapping screws that fasten the base of
the fan to the bottom case. Then lift the fan out of the bottom case.
