2nd Gear Shaft and Middle Shaft
1. Remove the bearing (1), 28T shift gear (2) and 17T-13T shift
gear (3).
2. Remove the 23T-16T shift gear (6) with bearing (5).
3. Remove the 2nd gear shaft (4) with bearings.
(When reassembling)
• When installing the needle bearing into the 23T-16T gear, apply
transmission oil to the needle bearings.

3rd Shaft
1. Draw out the 3rd shaft (4) with 13T-17T shifter gear (1) and shift
fork (2) with shift rod.
(When reassembling)
• Install the shift fork (2) and shift rod (3) as shown in the figure.

Separating Transmission Case, Mid Case and Differential Case
1. Remove the external snap ring (2) and one-way clutch cam (1).
2. Separate the transmission case (3) and mid case (4) with
differential case (5).
(When reassembling)
• Apply liquid gasket (Three Bond 1206D or equivalent) to joint
face of the transmission case, mid case and differential case.
• When reassembling the transmission case, remove the mid
case from the differential case. Attach the transmission case,
mid case and differential case after spreading the liquid gasket
over their surfaces.
