without any play.

INSPECT ROLLER RING
AND
ROLLERS
Using a dial indicator, measure
the roller
height.
Roller height variation: O.O2 mm (O.0OO8 in.)

specification, replace the roller ring and roller
as a
set.
INSPECT PLUNGER SPRINGS FOR SOUARENESS
Using a steel square, check
the squareness of
the plunger
springs.
Maximum

lf one spring is out
of square more than
the
maximum,
replace both springs.
5.
INSPECT SPRING LENGTH
Using calipers, measure the
free length of each spring.

INSPECT FUEL CUT SOLENOID
(a)
Connect
the
solenoid valve body and terminal to the
battery terminals.
(b)
You should feel
the click from the
solenoid valve
when
the
battery power
is
connected
and
discon-
nected.
lf the solenoid valve is not operating properly, replace
it.
