CARE / CLEANING
No particular care of your Leica Geovid HD-R
binoculars is necessary. Coarse soiling such as sand,
etc., should be removed or blown off using a fine
brush. Fingerprints, etc. on lenses and eyepieces can
be wiped off using a soft, clean leather or lint-free
cloth. In the case of severe soiling, e.g. of the
eyepiece sleeves, the binoculars can be cleaned by
simply rinsing under running water. Salt water should
also be washed off.
Caution:
Do not apply excessive pressure when cleaning
heavily soiled lens surfaces. Although the coating is
abrasion-resistant, it can nevertheless be damaged
by sand or salt crystals. In addition to the designa-
tion by type, all Leica Geovid HD-R binoculars have
an individual serial number. Please note this number,
e.g. in your documents.
