THE EQUIVALENT HORIZONTAL
RANGE
(
)
EHr
Firing at targets on higher or lower ground is subject
to changes in ballistic conditions. It therefore
requires knowledge of the - hunting-relevant - equiva-
lent horizontal range. Knowledge of the
important, e.g. when using ballistic methods.
The Leica Geovid HD-R calculates this
measured linear distance and a correction factor that
is dependent on the parameters angle, temperature
and atmospheric pressure that are also measured.
Notes:
• For safety reasons,
between 10m and 550m. Furthermore, only the
actual linear distance measured is indicated.
• Horizontal
is
values that deviate from the "normally" measured
EHr
distance if, for example, the temperature and/or
using the
atmospheric pressure deviate from the pro-
EHr
grammed mean values.
Important:
• Please note that particularly with large distances,
the influence of all ballistically relevant factors
increases significantly and can result in consider-
able deviations. The ballistic values displayed are
therefore expressly to be understood only as an
aid!
• Irrespective of the use of this information,
responsibility for the assessment of the respective
hunting situation lies with the user!
