2. To increase the speed of the self propelled function, move the self propel
variable speed control ( 3) backward towards the upper handle bar (1).

3. To decrease the speed of the self propelled function, slowly push the self
propel variable speed control (3) forward or down towards the motor and
the lawn mower will decrease in speed (Fig AD/AF).
4. To stop the self
propelled function,
release the self propel
engage/disengage
bar (2) and the mower
will cease forward
movement. (Fig AE)

control cannot be
moved in this area.
