Before Using the Fax Machine > Registering Destinations in the Address Book
Contact Registration (i-FAX)
Up to 2,000 contacts can be registered. Contact name, i-FAX address, transmission mode and the conditions for the
destination machine can be registered for each contact.

Display the screen.
[System Menu] key > [Edit Destination] > [Add/Edit] of "Address Book" > [Add] >
[Contact] > [Next]
Add the name.

Select [Change] of "Address Number".

Use [+] / [-] or the numeric keys to enter an address number (1 to 2500).
To have the number assigned automatically, enter "0000".
NOTE
Address Number is an ID for a destination. You can select any available number out of
2,000 numbers for contacts and 500 numbers for groups.
If you specify an address number that is already in use, an error message appears when
you select [Save] and the number cannot be registered. If you set "0000" as the address
number, the address is registered under the lowest available number.

Select [OK].
The screen shown in step 1 reappears.

Select [Change] of "Name".

Enter the destination name (up to 32 characters) to be displayed on the Address Book and
select [OK].

NOTE
Refer to the following for details on entering characters.

Enter the destination i-FAX address (Email address).

Select [i-FAX].

Select [Change] of "i-FAX Address".

Enter the destination i-FAX address (E-mail address) and select [OK].
To send by Direct SMTP, enter the IP address of the other machine.
NOTE
Up to 128 characters can be entered.
