CLUTCH PEDAL

REMOVAL
O p e r a t i n g f r o m t h e i n t e r i o r
1.
compartment,
remove
ring @, and remove pin @ discon-
necting pedal @ Tram master cyl-
inder control fork 0 and return
spring.

4 Stopper ring

Operating from the engine room,
remove pedal pin stopper spring @
and
washer.
screw @ securing the bracket @
for sheath stopper of accelerator
control cable, in order to be able to
w i t h d r a w p e d a l p i n e n o u g h t o
recuperate the clutch pedal from the
interior compartment.

3. Remove the two plastic bushes
from pedal.
HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT
CHECKS AND INSPECTIONS
Inspect pedal and pedal pad for
1.
deformation or damage.
2. Inspect bushes of clutch pedal,
stopper
pin and spacer for excessive wear or
seizing.
3.
Inspect return spring for fatigue
or damage.
INSTALLATION
Install clutch pedal on car in reverse
order of removal and apply grease to
bushes of clutch pedal and to master
cylinder fork connection pin (AGIP
CLUTCH MASTER
CYLINDER
REMOVAL
R e m o v e f i l l e r p l u g 0 o n
1.
reservoir 0, relevant gasket and
filter then, with a syringe, drain
enough fluid to make level fall below
connection to master cylinder @.
2. Disconnect
hose @ from master cylinder.
3. Loosen connection and discon-
nect rigid pipe @ from master
Unscrew
cylinder.
4. Operating from inside the car,
remove stopper ring, remove pin and
disconnect cylinder control fork
f r o m p e d a l ( s e e : C l u t c h P e d a l -
Removal).
5 . U n s c r e w s c r e w s
master cylinder to pedal assy and
then remove master cylinder.

DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove boot @, remove stop-
per ring 0, then remove push rod
with fork 0, gaskets @ and 0,

CHECKS AND INSPECTIONS
CAUTION:
To clean or wash all parts of master
cylinder, recommended clean brake
fluid must be used. Never use mineral
oils or gasoline and kerosene to avoid
damaging rubber parts.

2. Check cylinder bore and piston
for wear. If the clearance between
cylinder bore and piston exceeds
value,
replace
specified
master cylinder as-
assembly or
sembly.
3. Check condition of boot and
replace it if damaged.
4. Check all recesses, openings and
internal passages to ensure that they
a r e c l e a n a n d f r e e f r o m f o r e i g n
matter.
