Ignition coil #2 primary lead malfunction
Engine startup: Possible (depending on the number of failed cylin-
ders)
Riding: Possible (depending on the number of failed cylinders)

Actuates the cylinder-#2 ignition coil five times at one-second inter-
vals.
Illuminates the engine trouble warning light.
Check the spark five times.
• Connect an ignition checker.
Check or maintenance job
Poor connection → Connect
it securely or repair/replace
the wire harness.
Poor connection → Connect
it securely, or repair/replace
the wire harness.
Open or short circuit →
Replace the wire harness.
Gray/Red–Gray/Red
coupler is secure.
Make sure that the mounting
position is correct.
