Press and release the

Jog Wheel. PASTE @

CURSOR is displayed

brieﬂ y. The marked audio segment is pasted at

the cursor position and the CDR420 returns to the

beginning of the track

for more editing. Go to

step 3.

c If you want to Copy

and Paste, press and

release the Jog Wheel

while COPY is dis-

played.

COPY 2 CURSOR is

displayed brieﬂ y, the

copy is made and the

CDR420 returns to the beginning of the track.

Go to b above.

d If you want to Delete,

press and release the

Jog Wheel while DEL

is displayed.

The CDR420 returns

to the beginning of the

track ready to continue

editing. Continue to

step 3.

3 The edit you made is in memory but is not writ-

ten to ﬁ le until you exit edit mode by "committing

edits".

NOTE:

•

The edit has not yet been committed (saved to ﬁ le).

•

See How to Exit Edit Mode to commit the edit(s) (save to

ﬁ le).

•

The next edit (the next time CUT is displayed), a bar will

have been added to indicate that one edit has been made.

•

Up to 7 edits (7 bars) can be made before committing the

edits.

How to Exit Edit Execute Mode

From within Edit

Mode

click the Jog Wheel.

The example shows editing at pause. The click

replaces the track time with edit choices.

Turn the Jog Wheel

to tab through the edit

execute choices: CUT,

COPY, INS, DEL, and

DONE.

To exit Edit Mode

press and release

the Jog Wheel while

DONE is displayed.

The display changes to CONTINUE EDITS.

Turn the Jog Wheel to tab through the choices:

CONTINUE EDITS, COMMIT EDITS, or DIS-

CARD EDITS.

If you press and

release the Jog Wheel

while CONTINUE

EDITS is displayed

you return to editing

the track at the begin-

ning of the track.

If you press and

release the Jog Wheel

while COMMIT ED-

ITS is displayed

ARE YOU SURE is

displayed (if not dis-

abled).

Turn the Jog Wheel

so Y is displayed,

then press and release the Jog Wheel. PLEASE

WAIT is displayed while the edits are written. The

CDR420 returns to Idle Mode.
