How to Copy a CD

Use COPY CD to make one or more copies of an
entire CD without changing anything or storing a copy
on the CDR420. To store a copy on the CDR420, copy
individual tracks, change the fi le type, channels, or
bitrate use RIP CD.
Quick instructions:
a. Press UTILITY MENU 1x ... RECORD SETTING
b. Turn Jog Wheel until .............. CDR FUNCTIONS
c. Press Jog Wheel .................... NEW CD PROJECT
d. Turn Jog Wheel until .............................COPY CD
e. Press Jog Wheel ................. ARE YOUR SURE: N
d. Turn Jog Wheel .................... ARE YOU SURE: Y
e. Press Jog Wheel ......................INSERT ORIG CD
f. insert CD to copy ............................................ wait
CD ejected ................................ INS. BLANK CD
g. insert blank CD ............................................... wait
CD ejected ................................ COPY AGAIN: N
1. From the Idle screen press and release the UTIL-
ITY MENU button.
2. Turn the Jog Wheel so CDR FUNCTIONS is
displayed,
then press and release
the Jog Wheel so
NEW CD PROJECT
is displayed.
3. Turn the Jog Wheel so
COPY CD is dis-
played.
4. Press and release the Jog Wheel.
ARE YOU SURE: N
is displayed.
5. Turn the Jog Wheel so
Y is displayed, then
press and release the
Jog Wheel.
INSERT ORIG CD is
displayed.

6. Insert the CD you want
to copy from. Copying
automatically starts.
PLEASE WAIT alter-
nates with the percent-
age of copying completed. When done, the origi-
nal CD is automatically ejected and INS. BLANK
CD is displayed.
7. Insert a blank CD. Copying is automatic.
BUILDING CD is
displayed briefl y.
WRITING TRACK 1
is displayed briefl y.
The percentage of the
track written builds to
100%
When done the new CD copy is automatically
ejected and the CDR420 asks you if you want to
make another copy.
To make another
copy turn the Jog
Wheel so Y is
displayed then press
and release the Jog
Wheel. Return to
step 6 above where INS. BLANK CD is displayed.
8. To exit when COPY AGAIN: N is displayed, press
and release the Jog Wheel. The temporary copy of
the CD on the Hard Drive is automatically erased.
The CDR420 switches to Idle Mode.
