The REMOTE CONTROL (RC5) jacks on the back panel allow an external remote control system to control the playback func- tions of the CDR631. The control system is called RC5 and the chart below provides the control code list. For more information on the RC5 system and details regarding it's operation, please contact Marantz Professional.
Note: When the power is switched ON, the STANDBY function on the remote control (66) allows the CDR631 to be turned OFF ex- cept for the IR receiever circuit that will wait for the standby signal to turn power back on.

The CD-Text feature allows the CD title, artist names, and the track names to be saved on any disc you record. When played back on the CDR631 or any other CD player/recorder that sup- ports CD-Text, the CD-Text information stored on the disc will be displayed.

AES/EBU standard does support user data information. If Auto Track is ON and the source you are recording from is analog or digital without user data, the CDR631 will use a si- S (15, 74), lence gap to mark tracks. As the chart below indicates, once the source signal drops below -55dB, the CDR631 will look for 2.7 seconds of no signal (-55dB or below).
