Basic Controls

Operate pointing the remote control directly at
the unit's Remote Control Sensor.
Note
Do not put an obstacle between the remote control
sensor of the main unit and the remote control.
Do not subject the remote control sensor of the main
unit to the direct sunlight or strong fluorescent light.

Connect the AC cord plug to the
Display.

Connect the plug to the socket outlet.
Note
Main plug types vary between countries. The power
plug shown at left may, therefore, not be the type
fitted to your set.
When disconnecting the AC cord, be absolutely
sure to disconnect the AC cord plug at the socket
outlet first.
The settings may not be saved if the power plug
is disconnected or the display is turned off at the
<Main power switch> immediately after changing
settings with on-screen menu. Leave enough
period of time before disconnecting the power plug
or switching the display off at the <Main power
switch>. Or, turn the power off with the remote
control, RS-232C control or LAN control before
disconnecting the power plug or switching the
display off at the <Main power switch>.

Switch the <Main power switch>

To turn the power ON/OFF with the remote
control or <Power button (Unit)>:
To turn the power ON
The picture is displayed by pressing <POWER ON> or
<Power button (Unit)> when the <Main power switch> is
ON ( ) (Power Indicator: Red or orange).
Power Indicator: Green (Picture is displayed.)
To turn the power OFF
The power is turned OFF (Standby) by pressing
<STANDBY> or <Power button (Unit)> when the <Main
power switch> is ON ( ) (Power Indicator: Green).
Power Indicator: Red or orange (standby)
When the power is ON (Picture is displayed.) or OFF
(standby), the power of the display is turned OFF by
switching the <Main power switch> OFF ( ).
Note
During operation of the "Power management" function
(see page 55), the power indicator turns orange in the
power off state.
