Transport of the kart

If the carburetor is still filled with fuel, the transport of the kart is only allowed to be transported in a
horizontal position.
If the kart is to be transported in a vertical position, the fuel must be drained from the carburetor
first.
 Note:
If the kart is in a vertical position at transport, the remaining fuel in the carburetor
might flow into the crankcase with the result that the engine won't start at next try.
Remove drain screw (pos. 27, fig. 2) on float chamber of carburetor and collect the
fuel in a suitable container.
Clean drain screw and refit.

Preservation of engine and equipment

For longer periods out of operation (winter time), make sure that the engine will be properly
preserved.
Detach carburetor, drain fuel from carburetor and close carburetor openings to
ensure that no dust or dirt can enter.
Close intake and exhaust port of engine so that they are air-tight with adhesive tape.
Apply oil on exhaust system to prevent corrosion.
Remove battery from the fixture and charge periodically with the specified battery
charger.
 Achtung: If the vehicle gets stored at temperatures below the freezing temperature the cooling
system must be filled with a mixture of distilled water and a aluminium-compatible
antifreeze. The mixture must ensure protection against freezing to a temperature of
– 20 °C / -4 ° F. Not following this will lead to engine damage (e.g. breakage of
cylinder).
