Description
Break-Signal Receipt Handling
Controls how the modem handles the break signal in
reliable and auto-reliable data modes. Break signals are
sent to the computer for a 1-second duration.
=Destructive Expedited: modem passes break to remote
site immediately; deletes all its buffered data.
=Nondestructive Expedited: modem passes data to
remote site immediately
=Standard Non-expedited Non-destructive: modem
passes Breaks in sequence with any buffered data
Call-Answering Mode
Applies in leased-line operation
=Originate: modem does not generate answer-back tone
when called
=Answer: modem generates answer-back tone when
called
=Auto-Answer in Originate Mode: modem generates
answer-back tone when called; becomes Originate
modem when call established
Async Character-Length in Synchronous Direct
(No-Buffering) Mode
=8-bit Baudot code
=9-bit ASCII code, no parity
=10-bit ASCII code with parity bit or EBCDIC code
without parity bit
=11-bit EBCDIC code without parity bit
Select Connect Message
Takes effect in call-progress reporting
=Display computer rate
=Display modem Receive rate
=Display modem Transmit rate
