EEC Directive Conformity

The CE mark appears on each CE-compliant product. The following
statement explains its significance.

This product is CE-marked to indicate compliance with the following
EU directives.
• 73/23/EEC Low Voltage Directive
• 89/336/EEC EMC Directive
• 98/13/EEC TTE Directive (previously 91/263/EEC)
• 93/68/EEC CE Marking Directive
Note: These products support different features depending on product
code. Features, such as leased-line connectivity and dial restoral vary
with product code and from country to country. Please contact your
Motorola representative for details on the appropriate product code for a
region.
Products that bear the EU Permission to Connect symbol and Notified
Body number are designated compliant to the 98/13/EEC
Telecommunications Terminal Directive for the following types of
connections:
• PSTN: All products bearing the EU permission to connect symbol
have been approved in accordance with Council Decision 98/482/
EC (CTR 21) for pan-European single terminal connection to the
Public Switching Telephone Network (PSTN). However, due to
differences between the individual PSTNs provided in different
countries, the approval does not, of itself, give an unconditional
assurance of successful operation on every PSTN network
termination point.
In the event of problems you should contact your equipment
supplier in the first instance.
Note: check settings, as advised in this section, before contacting
your equipment supplier.
