● Always place wheel blocks under both the vehicle' s and the trailer' s
wheels when parking. Apply the parking brake firmly, and put the
transmission in P. Avoid parking on a slope, but if unavoidable, do so
only after performing the following:
Apply the brakes and keep them applied.
STEP 1
Have someone place wheel blocks under both the vehicle' s and
STEP 2
trailer' s wheels.
When the wheel blocks are in place, release the brakes slowly
STEP 3
until the blocks absorb the load.
Apply the parking brake firmly.
STEP 4
Shift into P and turn off the engine (RX350) or hybrid system
STEP 5
(RX450h).
● When restarting after parking on a slope:
With the transmission in P, start the engine (RX350) or hybrid
STEP 1
system (RX450h). Be sure to keep the brake pedal depressed.
Shift into a forward gear. If reversing, shift into R.
STEP 2
Release the parking brake and brake pedal, and slowly pull or
STEP 3
back away from the wheel blocks. Stop and apply the brakes.
Have someone retrieve the blocks.
